Information is good; however

Information is good; however, chapters are excessively & unnecessarily long. Print quality is horrible as this is the only textbook I have ever seen printed on an inkjet printer. Be careful not to get your book wet because the ink will bleed!

About the Author

Janet Salmons is an independent researcher, writer and consultant through her company,Vision2Lead, Inc.. Dr. Salmons wrote Doing Qualitative Research Online, Qualitative Online interviews, Online Interviews in Real Time�(2010) and edited the�Cases in Online Interview Research�(2012) for SAGE Publications, as well as numerous articles and book chapters.

Dr. Salmons has extensive experience teaching, mentoring, and facilitating online. She previously served on the graduate faculty of the Capella University School of Business, and was honored with the Harold Abel Distinguished Faculty Award for 2011-2012 and the Steven Shank Recognition for Teaching in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Dr. Salmons received a B.S. in Adult and Community Education from Cornell University; an M.A. in Social Policy Studies from Empire State College, a distance-learning institution in the SUNY system; and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies (meshing educational, technology, and leadership studies) at the Union Institute and University. She lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.

A great book for the enthusiast

This is a really nice book, which is mainly specific to the Series 3 trucks. It has a lot of cool pictures and information. It is helpful for restoration and historical purposes. This is of course a very specific topic type of book which is mainly of interest to people who either have Series Land Rovers or want one. This book could help you in buying one, to help you to see what is original-- especially since so many of these are so highly modified it can really be hard to find original ones, or even know what features are original. I think it's worth pointing out that there is no one book to have on any classic vehicle. You really want to have a library of related books, factory shop manuals and parts books, aftermarket shop manuals, as well as a selection of books like this. If you are into classic vehicles you generally will want to be into collecting books about them, since you really cannot have too much information. So this book is a welcome addition to my collection of books on the Series vehicles. I have a Series 3 truck so this one is more specific to that, but I also have a number of books on the earlier Series 2a, 2, 1, etc. Land Rovers because these are all helpful. I used to have a Series 2 but I sold it, but wisely I kept all the books from back then and they have proved valuable. So this book may also have value to owners of earlier vehicles than the Series 3 specifically. In addition, there is another angle-- I own a number of books on vehicles that I would LIKE to own, but either they are too rare or too expensive or I just think I won't be able to own them-- but it's cool to have the books on them as a way of at least getting into it that much. For example I have books on the Lotus Elite, and on Citroen cars; but I own none of these. So someone who just is interested in the Land Rovers may like this book too. Maybe some people can satisfy their interest without going so far as to actually buy a vehicle, what with all the related difficulties of doing so, where to keep it, how to maintain it, restoration......

The only minor negative things are: some of the picture captions seem a bit contrived, in other words they say obvious or silly things, where they might say something with more substance. Also, this book lacks the kind of level of detail that I am into in regards to originality and how to identify it. As an example, on my vehicle, I believe I have identified that it came with an original set of distributor cap and wires, and I know the tiny details that are involved in knowing that, but that kind of level of detail is not typically present in this kind of a book. As far as I know there are really no old car books that have that sort of thing, but some times some crazy guys like me will put up web sites with that sort of stuff, so you can search for it. On the positive side there are various discussions of certain features and what vehicle numbers included them and which did not, so that sort of detail is represented here to some extent.

Life is Much More than we Think!

Life is more than what we think and this is explained by Kate in this book very interestingly. This book really deserves five start. Let me give the short introduction of story first. Story is based upon everyday reality happening to our young guys who are obsessed by gaming; playstation, xbox and other platforms. Rino and Lisa are totally opposite from each other as Rino is always busy in playing games but forgetting his social life.

So the story turned when Rino has to spend weekend with his family camping in the woods instead of playing games all over the weekend. After that wonderful weekend Rino realized the importance of nature, quality family time and adventurous life outside this gaming world. Please give this book to your children, they will definitely learn a lot and it can change their life. Book is hilarious, emotional and inspirational at the same time.

Fun and a quick and easy read

While the author's descriptions are funny and entertaining, the thought processes and the drama throughout the book are very accurate for a boy of about 9-12. With enough detailed references to Minecraft and Playstation to keep video-game-obsessed boys interested, the plot moves very quickly. The main character, a good kid who does his schoolwork, obeys his parents, and follows the rules, is first very upset by a surprise that his dad brings home because it spoils his big plans. But he soon learns the great value in his dad's intentions. Overall, a fun book that will keep kids engaged while teaching them a good lesson.

It's got them reading!

My 10 year old boy recently finished this book. He did nothing but read it for an entire day. He's now passed it on to his sister, who's just turned 13. We've not seen her for the last hour! Obviously Kate Cullen has figured out what keeps kids interested. We look forward to the next in the series?

Brilliant one act plays!

The first time I heard Greylines and Bus Hounds in our playwrights workshop I was astonished. And that was a first draft! It is so impeccably well written that I was drinking in the dialogue like I would Horton Foote. Once you start reading either of these two one acts by Suzanne Chesshire, you will not put it down until you finish. And wait until you see them onstage! I had the honor to do so! I cannot recommend these plays more. Suzanne Chesshire is truly a brilliant writer.

Twisted realities, great plays!

If great theatre creeps into your subconscious and cracks open new perspectives leading you to see things about yourself you have never seen before, Suzanne Chesshire writes great theatre.

Greylines and Bus Hounds (one of my all time favorite titles) and Sliding Sideways are two “chance encounter” one acts. In the first, a young wandering guitarist (Michael) is running from a troubled home with a self-destructive mother. He encounters a strange woman (Woman) who passes from identity to identity until Michael’s own reality becomes distorted, rearranged and solidified and he is pushed toward a definitive course of action.

Sliding Sideways takes place on a city street corner where a turf war between a singer (Savannah) and a religion hustler (Cassie) leads to unexpected explorations of parallel realities.

Both plays have tense, rhythmic dialogue that flies past building to fascinating twists and turns that carried my imagination to strange and wonderful places. Chesshire challenges both the heart and the mind. Her characters are starkly original and speak with wit and wisdom.

These plays are going to play in my head for a long time. I do not ask for anything more from great dramatic literature. You are gonna wanna read this stuff again and again.
