Loved the book the first time I bought it but someone pulled a switcheroo and changed the cover so I thought I was buying a different book. It arrived and I saw that I had already bought the book a couple years ago. So be careful because this book has two different covers. Sent the second one back and as usual, Amazon was great about my return. The book itself is excellent with wonderful photographs and text. Beautiful examples of French decorating.

Cox also uses these young women's experiences to tell larger stories of Detroit's history, the Great Migration, deindustrialization, the politics of respectability, and the construction of Black girls and women as social problems. With Shapeshifters Cox gives a voice to young Black women who find creative and non-normative solutions to the problems that come with being young, Black, and female in America.�

Fascinating and exhaustive summary of AA in Washington State. Most moving was the chapter on the first AA meetings in Seattle...how individuals out here had to write letters to AA headquarters in New York, wait weeks for a reply, and sort of invent the wheel on how to start and run AA meetings. Worth reading and saving as an AA collector's item. However, most of the book is worth skipping because it then attempts to describe the birth and development of every fellowship hall and group in the state.

Doug Vucevic: Upon an early retirement from the IBM Development Lab in Toronto, where he had worked as a software developer, Doug has been working as an independent consultant to major banks, insurance and retail companies in Toronto, in the field of Software Engineering. Doug's consulting assignments have been in leading quality assurance and testing efforts for: data warehousing, BI and Data Mining in financial, insurance and retail industries. Doug holds Masters' Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication and is a member of the Registered Professional Engineers of the province of Ontario. Wayne Yaddow: Wayne Yaddow has spent more than twenty years developing and testing operating system code at IBM. During the most recent ten years, he devoted his time as an IT consultant, conducting QA on data migration and data integration for large data warehouse projects in the financial industry. While working as a consultant, he shared his data warehousing knowledge with many colleagues on the Internet and in work assignments in New York City.

Good basic data warehouse guide

As someone with experience in software development and testing, but new to data warehouse, I am finding this book to be helpful. The information is presented in a way that is easy to understand, and there are a lot of useful examples and checklists. This will be a helpful guide for progressing with my ETL testing. My only issue with this book is the very sloppy editing, which becomes very distracting at times. I deducted 1 star for that.

Not worth your time

Clearly an improvement over the previous edition _Testing_the_Data_Warehouse_Application_ but still disappointing. The authors describe what you might do without explaining why. This is a serious topic that deserves a better reference.

Several of the examples are very poor. They do little to explain the concepts and the code itself is frighteningly amateur.
