I'm excited for readers to meet all of the lovable--and some not so lovable--characters of this story (think: a female version of Into the Wild meets Breaking Bad!)�Choosing the 1990s as the time period was easy since it was the era in modern American history just before we were so connected. Before social media, smart phones, and Google maps. A time when it was easier to get lost. My goal while writing this book was to take readers off the beaten path, to places outside their comfort zone, and to entertain the heck out of them. I hope they enjoy the trip!
About the Author
N.R. Leigh began her writing career in 2007 as a featured columnist for the guerrilla newspaper The Uncommon Sense. She since has written books as an expert on personal health and wellness under the pseudonym Nicci Leigh. Peace, Love, and a Dead Hippie Chick was inspired by a newspaper article on the havoc a group of hippies caused in N.R.’s home town, coupled with her own experience traveling across the United States in her early twenties. Unique story - a must read!

This is an adventurous, emotional, and exciting story of three young girls on their journey to become the women they are destined to be and how they played an important role in each other’s lives without even knowing it. Right from the start the reader is drawn in to each of the character’s stories and finds themselves eagerly reading to discover what happens next along the three very different roads.
Leigh captures the essence of each Natasha, Kara, and Amy in a way that is genuine and honest, pulling the reader in to see themselves in each of the characters through their strength and sexuality, courage and discipline, and love and spirituality. The manner in which the book begins and ends gives the reader a sense of completion and solace once the final page is turned, knowing that everything is as it should be and also leaving the reader with a sense of excitement in discovering their own destiny. Leigh gives meaning to every person in our lives through some of her final words spoken by the supporting character Rock:
“Ultimately, we can say that everyone we meet and love throughout our lifetime is our soul mate. That’s the definition of a soul mate—those souls whose spirits align with ours at any point along our journey. They may come and go from our physical world, but our spirits are linked for eternity…”(pg.247)
Overall, this is a fast-paced novel that reads quickly and easily. A unique story unlike any I’ve ever read that opens the door to a world full of sex, drugs, and rock and roll with a very spiritual “hippie” vibe. Definitely one I would recommend!

Wow!! What an exciting book!! With all of the stories beautifully woven together! Brilliant writer and beautiful lessons to learn here. The cover of the book...really is intriguing. That caught my eye.
