Hyperborean Home takes place three millennia in the future and tells of a society that functions in harmony with Nature, a world where animals and humans coexist as a blessing, rather than a threat, to one another. A blending of high technology, medieval agrarian lifestyles, and deep ecology, the age-old war between good and evil is finally fought to the finish as all living creatures join forces in a desperate struggle against an enemy seeking to destroy their wonderful way of life. Relevant, iconoclastic and poignant, it indicts the current system and gives hope for a better world to come.

Highly Recommended
By Nick Jonson
This is a very good book, but the title was a bit misleading. I thought, given the title and cover it would have more to do with Hyperborean Myth (it doesn't really at all). It was surprisingly materialistic, yet even in it's materialism, it has it's redeeming qualities. There is none of the technology worshiping (or over valuing) garbage that is implied in Ward Kendall's "Hold Back This Day." In fact, if I had to pick any kind of materialism that least disgusted me, it would be the type found in this book. To be fair, the author does throw some bones to those of us who are more spiritual (inevitably this will be cause for criticism among our more zealous materialists).

I guess it was only my expectation and assumptions that lead me to be disappointed in this way. Had I not been expecting otherwise, I probably would have been much less bothered. It is a well-written, fantasy/SF book that promotes a lot of healthy things our people don't promote nearly enough. There is definitely a love of animals, nature, which I can identify with.

His understanding of the J Problem/Question, race relations, and his analysis of money and a better system are very refreshing. As a side note, the author lays out the basis of how we might achieve something like this in the real world with his "What Will Work" essays on The Occidental Observer.

Furthermore, I really enjoyed O'Reilly's personal stories in the back. Highly recommended.

Ok effort with original ideas
By Filip Finodeyev
While O'Reiley's ideas are not entirely agreeable to me, they are refreshing. A future that concentrates on mankind's biological instead of technological progress is interesting. Unfortunately, this book is a vehicle for said ideas more so than a work of fiction. And as such, it gets boring. The first half to two thirds are endless discourses on how awesome the new 'natural' ways are and how horrible our civilization is. Boring. I can read this stuff in articles, or perhaps even non-fiction, but it gets hamfisted when packaged into an ostensible work of fiction. O'Reilly would have done better if he'd just walked us through the cliff notes version of his ethno/ecotopia. Like Kendall Ward, who conveys global scope ideas yet manages to keep the local scope story going.

Fortunately, the book picks up at the end and becomes entertaining. I hope to see more from this author, hopefully he'll get better. Too much sic-fi is overloaded with insipid technophilia while being rather complacent about the political and social future. It's either a projection of current PC ideology (Star Trek) or an archaic regression to when politics were glamorous, with kings and emperors etc... (Star Wars, Dune). This divergence makes O'Reilly's work stand out, which earns it the fourth star.

Neo-nazi racist literature
By D. Freeman
This book is written by Timothy Folke under a pseudonym. He is longtime member of the neo-Nazi Alliance (whose leader inspired Timothy McVeigh)) as well as the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement and brags about meeting American Nazi Party founder George Lincoln Rockwell. He has been writing racist literature under the pen name Farnham O'Reilly for quite some time. Including articles for the National Vanguard, National Alliance Bulletin.and The Occidental Quarterly. What is ironic in this is that while writing these articles (and others) he was a CPA that audited several government agencies.

More info regarding this author and his book can be read in the current edition of the Southern Poverty Law Center's "Intelligence Report".

The ideas put forth in this book mimic his own philosophy, so beware.

I really wonder about the comments written in favor of this book.
